TRIZ Workshop

Solving Innovation Design Problems with TRIZ Methodology

The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) is a powerful methodology for new innovation product development. Using the tools of TRIZ, participants learn how to define contradictions in design, solve innovation problems and select the best solutions. TRIZ is applicable to every industry and in every environment for the acceleration of complex problem solving. It can also be used to improve the scope and strength of intellectual property.

This 5-day TRIZ training workshop provides comprehensive instruction in the foundational elements of TRIZ, and an understanding of how to use TRIZ concepts effectively to solve problems in a manner that is repeatable, predictable, reliable and innovative. You will learn how to successfully solve problems using TRIZ tools such as the Contradiction Matrix Theory, Separation Principles and the System Approach. In addition, you will understand how to apply key TRIZ concepts including Palovinkin’s Heuristics, Zones of Conflict, Functional Analysis, System Constraints, Ideal Final Result and Ideality, and Utilization of Resources.

Key Topics

  • Origin and Foundation of TRIZ Problem-solving Methodology
  • Overcoming Psychological Inertia and Constrained Thinking with TRIZ
  • Identifying and Defining Problems in Terms of Contradictions
  • Creating a Function Model of a System to Identify and Resolve Contradictions
