Operational Innovation Design Workshop

Innovating Business Processes with Operational Innovation Design

Innovation can take many forms — product/service innovation, technological innovation, business model innovation and even operational innovation, which is the invention and deployment of new ways of doing work. While innovating a business process may seem less glamorous than other innovation goals, operational innovation is a uniquely powerful means of strengthening a company’s performance and competitive position.

Operational innovation is different from operational improvement and operational excellence. The latter involve achieving high performance through existing modes of operation: reducing errors, costs, and delays, without fundamentally changing how the work gets done. Operational innovation, by contrast, means “coming up with entirely new ways of filling orders, developing products, providing customer service, or doing any other activity that an enterprise performs.”

In this 1-day Operational Innovation workshop, you will learn how operational innovation experts can contribute to a culture of innovative problem-solving, how to identify opportunities for operational innovation, and how to use the tools and methods of operational innovation to innovate your business processes.
